Couple of months back i posted about having a smash but can't find my original post - anywhos here is a photo.
After lengthy negotiations with insurers, buying incorrect colour bits on ebay, a 4 week hiatus due to a work trip, i finally have a working car back.
Only issue is my car had intermitent faults.
Kept on flashing up about tyre pressures, dsc faults and lots more.
Sometimes car wouldnt start and key would jam in centre lock.
Parked on a slope today on mates drive and wouldnt start at all.
Turns out someone (probably the scrap yard) had disconnected the battery but left the terminal resting against the battery so most times it was ok. But when you accelerated it came apart and threw errors.... Attaching the connection has miraculously fixed all the issues....
Things i've learnt.
1) never take insurers first offer - i ended up getting over double their initial and second offers.
2) Don't assume your cars colour code from what the person selling told you it was
3) Check your battery

2006 530i M Sport. Over 200,000 miles. Hasn’t been washed since I bought it in November 2019, looks like a barn find. Burns a litre of oil every 2,000 miles, some odd issues described here but it runs pretty well and I’ve done over 75,000 in it.

Very nice. Any interior shots?
The screen from the dials right across the central display is all one widescreen and that little knuckle/toggle next to the iDrive controller... that is now the gear selector.
After years of referring to myself as a "Ford man", having previously owned and enjoyed most of the 26 I've had, I've been disappointed of their offerings of late - the only other manufacturer that offers the same level of driver engagement for me is of course BMW.
My latest, BMW number 6 (car number 73), a Sapphire Black X3 M Sport 30d xDrive with Mocha Vernasca Leather.

Those grille stripes are truly awful, how to de-class a nice carMy latest, BMW number 6 (car number 73), a Sapphire Black X3 M Sport 30d xDrive with Mocha Vernasca Leather.

Surely you can't have only just discovered that quite a lot of people really don't like the grille stripes?
And they don’t need to have the stripes. I’m not a fan, but if Ben is, more power to him for having them. As it’s repeated time and time again, if we were all the same, life wouldBe boring.
Don’t cast aspersions on him for doing what he wants to his car.

Stop trying to justify the fact you're bitter and negative towards everything around you and seek help.

I'm part of the other thread. I have posted there numerous times before, I noticed an update - low and behold it was you, with yet another negative comment about someones car.
