Daytona do a waterproof evo boot, very similar to the security evo, again not the same level of toe protection as some boots, but they are more of a track/race boot anyway. You've also got Sidi black rain and I think waterproof Alpinestars to choose from. I sent Daytona a question on UK warranty when buying boots from Germany yesterday, we'll see if they come back with anything.
Happy searching,

Steve,
that'll be the sport evo GTX then!
PS I wouldn't use a security evo everyday, you'll knacker them! FDaytona can rebuilt any part of the boot, or the enitre thing. New 'outer boots' are available with pretty quick delivery from Germany....
I use my Sports Evos every day for a 66 mile round trip commute into London City. I bought them 2nd hand just over a year ago. 18K miles later, using them in rain or shine every day, they have worn really well and easily have another couple of years of the same use left in them i recon...I just need some new toe sliders!
I find they are pretty waterproof too(the non-GTX version); I only get slightly wet socks in really heavy rain, mainly from when my waterproofs ride up and the water goes down the top of the boot...it's not really a problem. I had upgraded from Daytona TravelStar GTX and still have these, but I never use them even if the weather is shocking. I just don't want to ride without the level of security offered by the Sports, even if it means i get damp feet...small price.
Fortunately they've seen no bad crashes, but I have every confidence in the protection they offer.
As the market stands, i'd definitely never buy anything other than these or the Security Evos. Think i would stretch to the Security Evos when i need to replace the Sports. If you can get them for 330 from Germany then IMHO you'd be foolish not to get them!
Cheers for the update.
The only negative I noticed about the Security Evos was that the sole wasn't very stiff, certainly not when compared to boots that are CE approved (Sidi Vertigo Corsa, BMW Transition, plus some Oxtar and Alpinestars models). That put me off spending the money.
The ankle protection of the Security Evos seems beyond compare, of course.
