As said, the Honda CBX and Aprilia v4 are both up there for me.

This R1M isn't bad either

V Twins for me. Specially air cooled Ducati V twins. There's something different about them compared to other v twins.
FYI - Their Desmo valve gear allows the exhaust valve to close late compared to a normal bike with valve springs hence they do sound slightly to other Vtwins.

I like the older 90's carbed sportsbikes. It's probably a childhool thing but that was the noise of my childhood.

This along with tuned 2 strokes throwing out power station levels of smoke!

Any big single cylinder race bike (Manx Norton, 7R, G50 etc) on an open megaphone exhaust but my favourite is the Velocette KTT.

The fact this one set off car alarms probably means it'd be unpopular on that other thread hehe

V4’s for me. I don’t think there’s a better noise from a bike although the crossplane R1’s are very similar.

Aprilia V4 for me... Although the new Pani V4 is nice, it’s not nearly as nice the Aprilia. 3 cylinder Triumph not too far behind.

Twins for me, Ducati’s particularly. Years ago I had a monster with Termi pipes, what a sound! MV Agustas sounds pretty good too - f4 was (and still is ) a dream bike for me.

Bloody oldies these days, no respect for the young snowflake generation.

I like the rumble of my superduke but would have to say the Aprilia V4 or crossplane R1 do it for me with regards to a road bike.

The V4 of a VFR800 through a twin Delkevic exhaust, on VTEC crossover when in a long tunnel... Heh, heh...

A Honda V4 with gear driven cams for me, nothing sounds better than an RC40/45 or NC30/35 at full throttle.
The Aprilia V4 and cross plane R1s are a close second.

Throw in the whine of some gear driven cams and it gets even better....
