What's your fav bike engine sound?

1600cc four, 4bars intake pressure, nitromethane, 1.500hp, not easy capturing the aggressive barking sound :

or this : 480cc single, blown nitro, 200hp, on a world record run with nice echo :

The sound of a Harley... being switched off. Absurd sounding things which make a dreadful racket for no performance.
Most Kawasaki four cylinder sportsbikes sound good, that intake roar and high rev scream. Oh, and the V4 MotoGP bikes... screaming speed
So you've never ridden a Harley then ?Most Kawasaki four cylinder sportsbikes sound good, that intake roar and high rev scream. Oh, and the V4 MotoGP bikes... screaming speed
My 2013 Fatbob would rip your arms out.

Have you ever ridden something properly fast?

Having from a zx6r to the xr1200, dropped from 100bhp to 75bhp and picked up an extra 30kg in weight I understand.
The Harley has much less peak power but at lower rpms it has much more torque. Winding both on from 30 in a high gear on the zx6 would get creamed for a while and the Harley would feel much faster as the torque comes in like a turbo even it it soon runs out. Real world a Harley is not slow, and will make progress in 5th gear at a rate a sports bike would need to drop a cog or 2 to match.
Of course, start both from dead or allow the sports bike to get into its power band and it’s a different story.

So you have a bike with half the capacity and it feels a bit faster lower down? The Harley has much less peak power but at lower rpms it has much more torque. My Triumph Explorer isn’t a fast bike. It’s a 1200 producing 137bhp and enough torque to accelerate past cars comfortably in top gear, there’s no revving it up or worry about being in the wrong gear.

A 2020 fat bob 114 is making 112lb/ft from 2200rpm and making maybe 70bhp at 6k. Your typical 1000cc sports bike might make 80lb/ft and it won’t do that until it gets beyond 8000rpm.
Edit: I reckon your bike is probably where I’d like power to be, a good spread of torque and horsepower

The sportsbike will have lower gearing than the HD, multiplying the torque applied to the rear wheel.The greatest, most hilarious exhaust sound of all time;
Honda Grom 125cc single with NO exhaust - it sounds like it is underwater!

You are all so young! I love Ducati air cooled twins, Triumph/BSA triples, Velocettes too but none of these beat a DBD34 Gold Star, that twittering blip followed by the best exhaust noise - can't really call it a note - ever to grace a motor bike, nothing else like it before or since!

Used to ride a Sportster reasonably regularly as it happens. Horrid thing in so many ways - and ridden around a town which is its likely environment for posing. My 2013 Fatbob would rip your arms out.
I've ridden plenty of things that are far quicker than a FatBob...and not just the Kawasaki ER-6 that we used to instruct learners on that has the same power as a FatBob but weighs 100kg less.The Ducati Multistrada that I used to own would destroy a Fat Bob. Even my current FZ6 (96bhp and 200kg) would be saying bye-bye.
