But all the sites suggesting i can do this seem to come up with a full years insurance. Im only borrowing the bike for 3 weeks - some suggestions would be good.

Thanks smile

Do you currently have insurance on another bike?
Most policies will allow you to ride someone else's (insured) bike or will let you add it on.

If not, then you need to pick up the phone and speak to a broker directly rather than try to do it online.

Insure for a year and then cancel?

Disclaimer: Check up costs before doing this.

I've tried this sort of thing before and some insurers won't insure you on it unless you own it. Does the owner have insurance? Easiest option would be for them to add you onto their policy.

Good luck. I tried to ensure a 125 for a couple of days as I needed to get it to a mechanic for servicing - I'm old and have a couple of other bikes with full NCB, plus live in a low risk area.

The quote was about £80-, a few minutes on an insurance site got me 12 months cover for a tenner more.
