Dodge Viper - buy in UK or import from the US

Hi,
I'm looking to fulfil a childhood dream by buying a blue and white dodge viper gts (pre-2003). I can either stick it out and wait for one to come on sale (given there are so few in the UK that might be a while) or travel to the States, find, buy, and import one. Has anyone done the latter? Was it worth it? Any pros and cons on either approach? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hello, well welcome to the world of Vipers,
Finding an unmolested Blue and White will be a challenge. Viper Prices in the last 10 months particularly in the USA have skyrocketed. As owners we are happy to finally see prices going up as they should be. But of course for someone looking for a car its going to be a challenge.
There is a 1997 in Germany for sale but the dash has been painted blue.
and that is with a dealer currently at 59,900 euros and 53,000klm
There is another 1997 with a private seller 65,000klm and that's priced at 55,000 euros.

In the USA the prices are likely to be more expensive.
