the one here on PH is said to be 5K over list by the people who know. that's the price you pay for one now and not having to wait 12 months

I think the waiting list is longer than 12 months now, not sure if I will get mine this year now .

if the Nomad is the spec you want and money is not a big issue then 5K premium to avoid a 12 month plus wait doesn't seem excessive

Does anyone have any info on wher you can drive one (off-road). I really like the idea but am completely ignorant regarding venues. Does the equivalent of a trackdays exist at a rally stage? Is green landing feasible or full of stuck land rovers? Are there any specific values around London or the Cotswolds that are good to go to?

Handing over final spec tomorrow, should be early August for me. (15 months since order).

It's a 40k car at absolute base, mine will be 50k to be happy I have not missed the best bits & bling. Even then I am still missing the supercharger (although prepped with uprated clutch and oil cooler options ticked) and have kept the standard 50%/50% suspension.

Previously had a 310 Atom, so it has helped knowing what I really want out of the box this time around.

I'm jealous! Informed today that mine has been pushed back(again), looks likely that I wont have mine until the end of the year. Rather frustrating, I wish Ariel would communicate better and manage expectations!

When did you order?

If you want an Ariel / order an Ariel product you do just have to wait I guess, there is not an equivalent car maker in my opinion (or proven of its type).

You are very fortunate, would love to see some pics up , when you get it.
I have heard nothing yet, I deposited last September, hopefully mine will take no more than 15 months, although I am not confident.
The recent Top gear episode must have increased waiting times even longer for fresh orders.

Personally I thought the episode was a little lame, the original Ariel Atom TG review is a classic, the new TG show Nomad review (if you can call it that) is forgettable.

This is a good link for a 360 Nomad video: http://www.topgear.com/car-news/top-gear-tv/video-...

My personal spec:

235 in custom pearl yellow
Short Final Drive
Heavy duty clutch
Oil cooler
Cat bypass
Exhaust guard polished stainless
Stainless brake and clutch lines
Alcon front
Alcon rear
Alcon handbrake
Hydraulic handbrake
Brake Bias
15" Off road (10/90 Mud Terrain) wheels
Spare wheel carrier
Spare wheel / tyre
Stainless fixings
Heated front screen
High-level brake light
Fuel cap
Aux feed
TomTom
Pass / clutch footrest
pads
2 LED markers
CF inst panel
Black brush ali parts
Road essentials with new personal Nomad plate

I already watched the 360 video, it's quite interesting.
Your spec is impressive, mine is pretty similar, although I have no need to decide yet. I thought the LED markers (assume wippy ariels ) are expensive for what they are. I want the spot lamps, just because they look, the part, I am also, going supercharged.
Will have to take a look at the colour you have picked, I am going classic Orange & Black.

I would like to say I'll stick with NA as it's more involving, but give it 6mths and I'll be in for more power I bet.

Will post some pics up soon as.

Which suspension setup are you going for?

Would it be possible to get it?
Does it have all the options also in terms of different suspension set up etc?

Sure, drop me a message in the PH profile area and I'll email you the xls.

FYI - Henry is the chap at Ariel if you or anyone else needs information / price list. He can also explain the susp options (which are also defined in the xls).

Stock suspension, I have not had enough seat time to appreciate the nuances and all options are pricey.

I TD the Olive Off-Road spec on the expensive kit and i didn't think it was 100% on the road, I guess it was setup for Off-Road spec and they had not adjusted back to road for my TD. If I am wrong and they had done, then the really expensive kit was too compromised for road use IMO.

Need more seat time in each to justify the cost above stock.
