I'm looking to do an extended test drive on an Atom to see if its something I could live with (already sold on the styling!)

Does anyone know where I may be able to hire one for a weekend to see how I'd get on with one?

Hi from sunny & COLD South Wales.

The general way people 'try' the Atom is to go for a short spin courtesy of someone local. Personally, I've not heard of anyone hiring out their Atom for a weekend. Track day hiring is another issue but you're looking at £1,200 + per the day.

I'm sure there's a few Atom owners local to you. Perhaps you could nosey over to the new Atom forum www.atomclub.com

Cheers

There's a new company which is called funcarhire.com - they hire out the Atom for a few days at a time

I seriously doubt it. More seriously I have not heard of anywhere.

Would you henestly let an unknown driver take out a 300 for the weekend...
I just couldn't imagine a novice or even semi experienced driver taking mine out on the public road... it's verging madness... The things a real handfull at the best of times once yuo get your foot down, and being dead honest its way beyond the talents of your average joe... I let my mate who i considered a good driver, he's always run me close whilst karting, drive it last track day... 5 spins later he said jeez that was scary and needs ALOT of respect...
Letting someone loose for a weekend in a 300 is simply going to end in tears...

Anyone else hiring these (road not track use).
Funcarhire doesn't seem to do it anymore (not on their site at least).
