Do the Ford RS7 wheels use a specific wheel nut,sleeved washered etc?can anyone shine some light on this onewink
Not on any application I've seen on a Ford.

4 wheel nuts behind the cover, as per TVR Estorils.

Ive always thought that most new wheels look too modern for the clasic styling on the chimaera .. can anybody photoshop some older style minilite/superlite wheels onto a chim for me? Ive always thought they would be a good match .. curvy older car and curvy older wheel design, retro cool smile

Speaking as someone with the SP12s on (and no hesitation whatsoever recommending them), I still think the RL7s and the Ford diamond cuts really suit the car. Trouble is you try finding a set of either frown

Almost worth commissioning a batch if anyone had the dosh to invest and could identify who has the toolingscratchchin

Great thread, I've been keeping an eye out for some time. BIG QUESTION, What offset is needed? Do the Ford RS wheels work ok with whatever O/S they come in? And rim width, do you need 7" on front and 7.5" on the back, or would you go for 7" all around, or 7.5" all around?

Shame Spiders don't come in 17", that would be my fave choice, I think 16" is too small and 18" just too big, looks silly.

I think the 18" Spiders look amazing. Theres room for them and it makes the car look soooo good. Withou a doubt its the best looking wheel that TVRs have fitted to them IMHO. Shame its gonna cost over 2k to upgrade to this set up.

Hey TVR5000, seen your pics, awesome. Does anyone have pics of 18" spiders on a Chim? regarding the £2k, it's a lot, but if it's what I want, I'd do it

Thanks for that. Try www.sportmotive.com as they do the 5 stud conversion. You get the new hubs and biggers disks and brakes, so you get a lot for your money, but it is a lot of money. But its worth it

My old girl with 17" ford RS Diamond cuts...
Any idea what the offsets were, and what the tyre sizes were? scratchchin
I have them mon my car. 7.5" all round, et 35, Tyres are;
215/40 front and 225?45 rear. The rears give same [ish] rolling radius so speedo reads same. No fouling issues whatsoever.
Hope it helps. MAC.

I guess the question is can you 'diamond cut' the standard RS7 wheel? scratchchin

You're welcome bloke, as for choice, I still think spiders look awesome but it'll mean changing to 5 studs and when I was changing some mentioned that the ride really suffers with 18" rims. Most see 17" as ok and it's an easier upgrade, good luck and let us see results. Mac.

This thread has been most helpfull to me and many others and for me those ford rims just look right so i think i'll treat me self, is there any other numbers i need Mac for those wheels or is 7.5" and et 35 all i need to no? would that size of rim take a slightly wider rear tyre?
