It has a roof but is anybody going to say that it isn't a sports car?

Note. More notice taken of any reply if its based upon driving a Morgan.

Huh? The 'roof' in the pic is the foldable hood, just like most other convertible sports cars have. Morgan are offering hard tops as well, just in case owners are foolhardy enough to want to use their cars in Winter.

...and I thought BMW were cheeky gits for charging extra for coloured door handles - seems Morgan don't even offer them as original equipment!!!

They are a very strange lot, those Morgan guys. Making cars out of wood and experimenting with odd looking new versions. They don't really seem to excel in any particular area though, except oddness.

Yeah, and giving them 4 wheels???? A Moggie is a 3-wheeler with a loveryl big JAP V-twin and a boat tail to drift around with......sorry have they also built a car???
LOVED my moggie, but was young and couldn't afford the parts... Please give me another one and I promise to care for it!!!

Talking of which I saw a Moggie style new car with a plastic body recently here, but passing it at over 250kph wasn't the time to stop and ask what it was. Anyone any idea what it was. It had a boattail, obviously GFK or similar , a bike engine protruding at the front, but the wheel arches were a bit funny, semi-enclosed the engine as well.??? Appreciate comments web-sites etc... John

Not with an engine sticking out of the front. (Mid engined BMW)

Look a little closer and you will see it is a TOK 258 replica fibre glass hardtop, consider yourself terminated Terminator.

And for consistantly failing to become bankrupt, unlike a certain other British Sportscar maker (No not Lotus, that other one that followed Morgan by using Rover V8s).

Definitely wasn't that, It looked like an old Moggie, complete with boattail, 1 rear wheel, dimensions also similar front engined between the 2 front wheels but a funny cowling around the engine. Could see the pots but nothing really else. Had semicircular small racing screen, 2 seater, outside tail pipe etc etc etc only thing i missed was the Velocette flare at the end of the pipes!

Tri King, BRA, JBZ, Lomax. If the engine was cowled it was probably 2CV based.

The Velocette flair is a facsimile of the Brooklands Silencer, mandatory in the 'good old days', predates both McNab and myself.

Dear Roadrunner, we do certainly excel in two areas: We have a lot of respect and love for our Morgans and we are experts in enjoying what we drive - we do it with style.

Oh, I forgot a third area: We are polite and let other people have their fun with their toys as well.
