Radical SR3 SL Compressor

Hi,
Anyone have any experience with servicing the compressor on a radical? I have a SL, but pretty sure it is the same as the one fitted on a SR3 / 8. Mine was getting noisier, so I had a quick nose at it....there is a lot of play when I take off the front cover.
Anyone taken one apart?
