Polo GT facts, just to put those doubtful minds at rest... i currently have a 05 Polo GT, an upgrade from Carrado G60 and i hate to say it - it pisses all over my old G60 and most Golf GTI, TDI,1.8T, A3 models. I admit, i've had her remapped (Revolechinik chip-fully switchable)boosts her from 130 bhp and 229 torque to 170 (180 with K&N airfilter system) and 280 torque. No need for keeping it on the boil (whatever that was about) but she packs a punch from 3rd to 6th. The six speed box comes in handy, 105 mph in 4th, 5th keeps it climbing and 6th takes her to 140 mph in no time, before clencthing my butt checks together and I ease off. She's a little too light but hey, you'll get use to it. Insurance group 8 and Road tax costs around £115. She a wonderful car for the money. i paid 10.5K (a steal) from a pug dealer in Glasgow and drove her back in just over 4 3/4 hours. What more could you want from such a small car plus the GT models are top of the Polo range with all the extras.
