Yeah I think there may have been a third nut but it was along time ago.

Yep question marks are close. Go in through speaker hole up to your elbow. There is also a screw behind the reflector and another behind the ashtray. When you refit replace the 3 nuts with wing nuts, makes it easier next time.

There is definitely 3 as people have said. My arms were fine to be honest. 10mm socket on a 1/4 ratchet. I had nothing under the ashtray but the screws for the reflector went through to the door. Lift the bottom out then slip it up and off.

They would be useful for the climate control panel above the gear selector. Ever tried getting a spanner on the nuts with the window switches removed? Door panels are a breeze compared to that.

While you've got the door card off, it's worth rooting around in the bottom of the door. I found a rusted pair of pliers in mine and a couple of nuts that someone must have dropped while trying to reattach the door card.
