I must admit that I was slightly disappointed when the colour was finally revealed, but WOW.....the detail in the finished result is beyond words!

Same here. When he said old English white, I went oh, then the details! love
Me three. Old English white, hmmm. What they did with it, verrry nice yes!
Me four. Oh another white mini rolleyes then they get into the detail. Imagine how many hours were required for that masking. You'd need the patience of a saint.

Me five.

White is one of my least favourite colours on cars, and if not for Alex and Caddyshack further up ths thread saying how good it was, I maybe have even been tempted to switch it off. How could I ever have lost faith like that, I should have guessed that they'd do something exceptional with it.

In bright sunlight it must look utterly stunning.

With the car being called Binky it was no shock the colour was going to be white.

I was not expecting such detail for the roof, absolutely stunning,i would be tempted to cover the car in PPF for the rebuild to minimize the chances of damaging the paint.

Richard was looking to source some of that 3M film that new cars come wrapped in for that very reason, I’m not sure if they found any.

In the Discworld series of novels, Death's horse was called Binky and was white. At least, that's what springs to my mind. Have the guys ever mentioned why it's called Binky?

I think they mention it in the "life after Death ('s horse)" video, but I'm not sure if it's the actual reason they called it that...

I can't remember when, but I think this has been "officially" confirmed.

One thing I thought that may have happened is that the shell might have been sheep dipped.

It may have been mentioned, and I might have missed it. However, if it wasn't done, I'm sure there is a good technical explanation as too why.

There was an awful lot of u-pol weld through used during the process and no doubt in the next episode at least 25 gallons of rust proofing wax will no doubt be going in all the nooks and crannies. I like Supertrol better than Dinitrol as it has a better name and comes in "Action" cans.
