Another for the epidemic I'm afraid - a colleague had a genuinely professional team turn up at her house in the small hours of Monday morning (at least 6 people according to grainy CCTV) and spend 4 hours breaking in to her garage before defeating both the factory and a second, custom fitted, immobiliser.

Given the nature of the gang hopes aren't high that it's not either in pieces or looking rather different already, but details as follows:

Defender 110 XS TDCi
Reg KN09 SBX (think knob sex! she assures me that wasn't intentional...)
Metallic Red
Passenger side dash has had a glovebox fitted and she'd had vanity mirrors put in to the sunvisors.

Mods - please move if this isn't the appopriate place.

That's somewhat shocking. Four hours and no-one heard a thing? Also scary is that she was being watched and followed.

Yes, she's understandably very scared and upset in addition to heartbroken about losing the car. It looks like a couple of the scrotes managed the garage door and the standard immobiliser, then called in 'backup' presumably with more tools etc. to sort the second immobiliser. Utterly brazen.

I wonder if the viruses left any DNA at the scene - perhaps scraping a knuckle on the door etc. I understand her anguish. We suffered a 'home invasion' in 2012 where they broke in through patio doors and took the keys and drove off with the Merc. Never heard a thing. It's taken five years to feel relaxed about sleeping there.
