Yesterday was the first chance I had to try my rangie off road, and i've got to say I was really impressed!

Went to a pay and play day at a quarry near durham just to see how the old boy coped - and apart from getting stuck in axle deep clay within the first 5 minutes and having to get pulled out (should have realised that the lack of tracks through it meant others had decided against trying it !) it was great fun.

I didn't push too hard as I was concerned about the rear shocks coming out of their mountings (I think i need some of the relocation cones) but these cars can still do what they say on the tin. Climbed some pretty steep hills, negotiated some really deep ruts and generally had a lot of fun.

Of course it's now given me the bug for more and further to my `what tyres` post last week (thanks Bluespanner for your reply) I think I might go down the route of cutting away a bit of wheelarch and sticking some REAL mud pluggers on it!!

I'll post a picture of the motor when I can work out how...
