Lidl "once it's gone" zigbee/silvercrest stuff is back - February 21st. Does anyone know if the light strips work with Hue ? (though really I want a colour one to go with the Lidl/Silvercrest GU10 bulbs I have in my kitchen)
I have a light strip and yeah i have it on the the hue app which is then controlled via google home.

Cheers. Alas my local Lidl had just a few items (aside from the heaters) in and no light strips.

No gu10s on the website so wonder if it’s a limited release this time.

So I bought 3 Play Light Bars the other day, thinking that I had 2 base units and 1 extension. However, I was wrong, I have bought 1 base unit and 2 extensions. The only difference I can see is that the extensions don't have a power supply. Is there a 3rd party one that I can buy that will do the job as Philips don't seem to list one?

I'm actually not sure how the extensions differ from the normal bars. I bought a pair set and had already noted it did say just one power supply. I assumed the extension would plug in to an existing light bar but all I saw was three power connectors on the power supply. Having looked at the offerings it appears this may be the actual design as you can get:
  • ) Single bar with power pack
  • ) Two bars with power pack
  • ) Two bars with power pack and an extension
  • ) Single extension (no power pack)
Might be worth contacting Philips directly to see if they'll sell you a power pack by itself.

Yeah, there is no difference, to my eyes, between the extension and the base unit. I thought you would be able to daisy chain them, but they all go back to the same power supply which has three outlets

Yup. Fortunately for me the power cables were long enough for me to do what I wanted to do as I also was assuming some form of daisy chaining.

I’m hunting for a Black Ensis pendant, to buy later this month.. it seems stock from Hue direct is a bit wayward, has anyone used any third party suppliers who have been reliable?

Kicking myself for not just snapping one up when they were in stock a few weeks ago, guess I’ll just have to check daily!

Correction, I've used UptimeRobot to create a monitor to see when they're in stock!

One of my Hue bulbs turns itself on at random. Telling Alexa to turn it off works, but then it comes straight back on.
I've just spent the last 10 mins repeating myself to Alexa.
Any suggestions?

A family member is playing silly buggers.

Uninstall then reinstall perhaps?

One of my kitchen bulbs occasionally refuses to turn off with the wifi switch. The only way to stop it is to turn off the power to it at the main switch. That sorts it.

I contacted a few suppliers who listed them as in stock, all came back to say that they weren't actually in stock...... So frustrating!

I have two of the Hue Ensis lights in the kitchen, one over the island and one over the dining table. Ended up having to order them from Germany and it still took 3 months for them to be in stock. I have no idea why they are so limited.

They are lovely though. Even if they are a ridiculous cost for a pendant light.
