I'm due in may, but I can't see the need to change. The camera is still top notch and the battery is still good, only seems to dip badly with the Facebook app.

I did look at a pixel, which my sister has, but I wasn't that bothered with it - I think I'll go sim only for the very first time until I see something i like, it's such a shame the P50 isn't an option really

I've put a Huawei memory card in too as storage was starting to run short and it's genuinely still sweet

Kept mine

Nothing available that is materially better that will cost me less than £1000 over the next two years

Now paying £10/month for 30gb

I'm on the NE version (New Edition) so it's still a bit newer than the original ones, I have absolutely no intention to swap mine out for anything at this time, especially not a Pixel 6 with it's ste battery life and Android 12...

Speed is fine, screen size is fine, camera is (still) more than fine, storage is super, ok so I don't have Wi-Fi 6 or 5G

I can live with that, I'd have to spend circa £1k to get something up to this standard now.

Still got mine. Still think the camera is a joke piece of junk.

I haven't gone anywhere to photograph anything so there's been no need to change it. As soon as I do it'll be off to heaven with it.

Other than the camera, which was the sole reason for buying it, it's done a fine job.

My contract doesn't run out till October, I've been looking at other phones but nothing really grabs my fancy. The Samsung S20 FE looks OK, but only OK.

What's up with the camera? I find it's the phone's real strength

I have a clear, raised case on mine - worked a treat when it fell off the banister approximately 12 feet on to a solid wooden floor biggrin

Foolishly I took the case of mine as I decided I wanted to see the oh so pretty case... the oooh so pretty glass case made of the slipperiest material ever invented.

Ah well.

Knew toy time I guess but really don't know what to go to.

Don't mind the iphone / apple set up but refuse to pay the price.

Samsung seems to the same price as apple without the benefits.

Which brings me back to Pixel / One Plus - A N Other

I think the camera hardware is seriously let down by the software at times, I've lost count of the number of images I've taken that look nothing like what was in front of me from a colour, saturation and contrast point of view but meddle with the settings and all of a sudden you can get something close to the output of the more modern versions.

I still have my pre-order (March 2019?) "amber sunrise" version and have gone so far out of contract I'm on pay as you go (should I post on the council thread?) - I can't find anything that's leaps ahead in any features to make me want to replace it, especially as it's got the 512GB of storage and it costs a fortune to get a modern phone with similar.

It's a little slower than it used to be to boot now and again but otherwise still performs much like it did on day one.

Had Huawei stayed with Google I'd probably have had a P50 on contract renewal (or a Porsche Design Mate 40 RS if I was flush) just due to liking the P30 so much but obviously that wasn't to be.

My o2 contract ended last week. I've got a Voxi SIM coming to check the coverage - they do 15GB for £10. Smarty currently offer 60GB for a £10 as well but coverage (Three IIRC) at home looks rubbish and I have enough trouble getting SMS on o2 as it is (a PITA when you need a website login or banking authorisation code via SMS).

It's the slippery equivalent of unobtanium.... Looks great, but you can't not have a case on it

Yes I'll agree with that, mine was cased up within 24 hrs of getting it, it's like a bar of soap else.

You forget how small and well designed the phone is when it's all wrapped up in a block of Spigen's finest metal and rubber to protect it from the world biglaugh

I wouldn't be without my Spigen case, I've accidentally dropped my phone a few times from height onto hard concrete and tiled floors without as much as a single scratch. wink

My P30 pro contract ends next month and I'm at a loss of what to do. Had the P20 Pro and now the P30 Pro and it is a brilliant phone for me.

I think I will be going SIM only for awhile, as it is in perfect condition.

Really got quite fond of Huawei phones and a bit gutted I can't keep the relationship going into the next model.

What about Honour? Are they not Huawei phones in everything but name?

I'm leaning towards the One Plus 10 Pro - should be released later this month, so just waiting for some hands on reviews and some pricing.

I loved my P30 Pro but swapped to an Oppo Find X3 Pro when my contract ran out because I wanted 5G.

Oppo is a great phone. Superb screen. Unlimited everything on a 2 year contract @ £40 a month.

Still got the P30 Pro as a back up though.

Honor is indeed the budget arm of Huawei

Separate companies now, but still closely related. Honor phones have full Google apps.

My p30 is still going well on a cheap sim only deal at the moment.

I think I'll go back to Samsung when I finally change though
