I was the same with SecretLab - am 6 foot 1 and around 12 Stone wringing wet so could have gone for either - I went for the Titan and it's been a brilliant investment. Got it at the start of lockdown and even 2 and a half years later I'm struggling to fault it - I went with Cookies and Cream Softweave, and it still looks pretty good now. Griffith4ever said:
I've had my Omega for a while now and I love it. I can sit in it 9 am till 11pm supremely comfortable. It is superb! I went black Napa leather.
5'10", 85kg and it's still not a tight fit, so I'm glad I didn't go Titan. Smaller visually too and it's in my lounge.
Pretty much the same as me. Titan would have been too big. 5'10", 85kg and it's still not a tight fit, so I'm glad I didn't go Titan. Smaller visually too and it's in my lounge.
I've had my omega 2 1/2 years now and it's very comfy still. I work from home 4 days a week so use it a lot
I'm still happily using my Noblechairs Hero Black Edition (which is the same as a SecretLabs Titan 2020) - although the home office one doesn't see much use these days now I'm back in the office full time.
The only thing that happened on my office one was the gas lift eventually started to fail. This wasn't entirely unexpected as I'm a big guy so not really any fault of the chair - and the gas lifts don't last forever anyway. What was an issue was trying to replace the darn thing - I'm sure that partly due to my weight and the time it's been in use (some 8-9 hours a day Mon-Fri) the gas lift resolutely refused to be parted from the seat base for replacement. No amount of going apest on it from any angle with any tool made the slightest bit of difference.
I got in touch with Overclockers (who are Noblechairs' supplier for the UK) and they were exemplary - they dispatched a replacement seat base frame, gas lift and 5-star base with coasters (even though I said I was able to re-use the coasters and existing base I already had). A few mins with the allen key removing the old base frame and fitting the new to the seat cushion and the chair was good as new again. They did it all FOC despite me offering to pay. Huge thumbs up for Overclockers customer service from me.
In terms of wear it's held up brilliantly so far - mine has the 'high tech faux leather' (which was the only leathery option at the time; they do real and synthetic leather options too now).
Very happy with it and as long as the gas lift can be replaced again in future (I guess the same way!) I don't see why it shouldn't last years and years.

I also have the SecretLabs Titan, bought near the start of lock down 2020, and it looks the same as when it came out of the packaging. I still work from home and it is the most comfortable chair I've had, very easy to take a nap during those long, boring 'just listen' meetings that are a total waste of time.
I spend an easy 8 hours a day in it.

Exactly the same. So good, we now have three…I spend an easy 8 hours a day in it.
SL prices jumped big time a couple of years back and then rose again with the 2022 version. I bought one in a recent real sale - £100 off a cookies and cream, as opposed to the usual £30. Been procrastinating for a few years now, though being a short arse the lack of lumbar in the previous version put me off.
Took me a week or so to get used to it as it is a lot harder than I expected, though the base has softened slightly, which I believe is the norm. The properly position lumbar makes a difference.

Over the last couple of years, what has everyone paid for their SL chairs (Titan)?
Looking to get one but it seems the cheapest I can get one for is £414.
Is that really the going rate now?
I screenshotted my order a page or two back on here. I got the napa leather omega for 500 ish. In a sale. I would have gone for fabric had it been the RRP of £900 ish!!Looking to get one but it seems the cheapest I can get one for is £414.

Happy to spend on sometime so vital to me.

I see the Nobel chairs are also rated highly but they seem to be a one size fits all chair and i'd worry it was a bit snug compared to the XL offerings from SL.
My Noblechairs Hero Black is more than accomodating of my (very large) physique... The last thing you should be worried about is it being too small unless you're enormous! I can take some measurements of the seat base, width between arms etc if you'd like as I'm sat on it currently and have a tape measure to hand.Edited by Funk on Friday 4th November 12:47

I'm assuming all Nobelchairs are the same size as the one i'm looking at is the Hero TX (I don't want leather). My only concern is the main difference suggests that the seatbase width is narrower on the Nobel - SL XL is 49cm/58cm whereas the Nobel is 33cm/52cm.
I'm 6ft 3 / circa 17 stone and not in need of a wide chair but the measurements above seem to suggest the Nobel is more 'race car seat' - Is that the case or have they just done a poor job of explaining it?

The Noblechairs Hero Black (and it looks like the TX is the same) are very much not 'race car' seat style - that's something I specifically wanted to avoid, it's not what you want from an office chair imo. The NC Hero Black has a pretty flat seat base. For reference I'm 5'11 and 175kg and the NC Black Edition is plenty wide engough! In fact, for someone of smaller stature I'd say it would probably be too wide if anything. My only concern is the main difference suggests that the seatbase width is narrower on the Nobel - SL XL is 49cm/58cm whereas the Nobel is 33cm/52cm.

Thanks for the reply - I'll have a think as I do really like the Titan Evo but obviously the TX is considerably cheaper. I've had a Secretlab Titan Softweave since 2020 and I have grown to hate it. For long-term WFH it is too uncomfortable. I have back issues that are noticeably worse after a day at home, so much so that I'm deliberately spending more time in the office just for a comfy seat.
The mechanicals are also ste - armrests with unequal heights, width adjuster button fell apart on one, and most annoyingly the base has a clunky wobble even when the recline is locked.
For my height & mass I should have probably just about gone for the Titan XL, but this had to fit the mrs as well and the overall design with a backrest as flat as a spinal board is the same, so I doubt it would be any more comfortable.
Work have a mix of unbranded ergo chairs or HM Aerons, both are more comfortable for a working day and I'll be swapping to an Aeron soon I think. Might see if the Secretlab warranty is any good in the meantime though...
