Hi all,

Bit of an odd one be we are seeing an increasing number of reports from users whereby incoming calls to Teams from other Teams users are only ringing on their phones (with the Teams app) and not on their desktops. They don't even get a notification or anything in the Activity list.

Thoughts?

Desktop Teams not logged in, or logged in as someone else?

It seems to be an intermittent bug with TEAMs at the moment.

Have you changed your setting to "Do not disturb"?

It's something that's being reported across our user base and started yesterday. Teams logged in and works fine for chat and for joining meetings, just knackered for incoming calls.

Interesting - does that mean you've seen the issue too? Do you happen to know if there is an form of service alert, etc for it? Will help stop some of our users telling us to fix it as it must be our fault .... wink

Interesting, this is something I am seeing too.

If I wasn't actually looking at the screen to see the call come in I would miss it.

Check if your user ever set up a separate ringer !
i.e. that it rang through the speakers in addition to the headset

Had this a couple of weeks ago ( so that's probably 3 teams releases ) … and removing and re-adding additional config resolved the issue.

That was going to be my suggestion. Updates always seem to fk up the audio config.

Quick update - we tried all sorts of things and it wasn't much better by the end of Friday so I'll see what Monday brings. We've had the issue with quite a few of our staff and there's no obvious correlation either. Our entire IT helpdesk was hit with the issue on Friday.

FWIW - I was seeing similar... The Teams app on the phone would respond to an inbound call but the laptop wouldn't. When trying to call others, I would just hit voicemail and they would get a missed call notification.

Ended up having to send meeting invites, to setup calls.

I have this issue on the work PC, but normally only after a few days of sending it to sleep rather than shutting down each night (and it tends to get a bit stroppy by the fourth day of doing that). Without wishing to sound like I work for IT, switch it off, and switch it back on again seems to work every time.

Either that or I am just creating an excuse for ignoring certain meetings rotate

Are you using cisco softphones on the same systems ?
We had an issue, where it would steal the audio for cisco and not release it again.
It puts teams into a sleep style mode.
Some users had Jabra headphones, the software for them fixed the problem.
It lets users choose the software in currant use.
Others users with Plantronics headsets, the same software worked for them.

Not forced to be what you have, but something to check on.

I've started getting this issue too. I've not got any headsets etc plugged in.
