Can anyone who owns a VisionPro give some feedback on how GeForce Now runs? Been trying to think of a way to access VR racing games (GT7) without having to buy a PS5...

How are people getting on with the Vision Pro? I've gone down the poor man's version (Quest 3). I can really see the potential but for productivity you still really need a key board/physical controls, which really detracts from the sci-fi feel of the thing.

For media consumption, gaming, VR feels like the right tech, but at Vision Pro prices it needs to be an work/productivity tool, and I'm not sure the software or work flows are there yet?

Vr software sales are declining something like 30% a year.

In my opinion the form factor is dead and is a placeholder for decent affordable XR glasses arriving in 3-5 years

There will be niche users of course. I use mine 3-4 times a a week for sims. I know people who watch movies and work

But mass market will never happen. Ever.

I use my meta quest 3 every day for 1-2 hours, with the successful launch of the 3S at Christmas I can actually see the market expanding.

If Apple can launch the Vision SE/Air at a decent price and support it with good content it could be a big seller for them. They have loads of content through Apple TV+ so it's an easy opportunity to supplement that with VR short content using the same sets and actors. You can also have VR workout/meditation sessions with the trainers from Apple Fitness+

I use my quest 3 for mainly gaming, there's a new dawn of jets flying game/sim that comes close to normal console quality. Plus when traveling I use it to have a 200" screen for watching Apple TV, YouTube, Amazon Prime/etc. as it's much better than the TVs in the hotels.

Youtube has some good VR travel video content, plus there's a great app called FLY that lets you fly through google earth in VR which is great for travel as well.

I can see why the Meta store is full of over price garbage.....Grid Legends is £20+, decent reviews, and I've played it on multiple devices, not the best racing game but pretty ok. Imagine my disappointment when after a 30gig download I was greeted with this 90s throwback, with the bonus of motion sickness on top!!

But with decent software it looks really good, rather than try to be funky, VR should focus on what it does best, another type of display technology that you can take anywhere versus trying to be too mad. Conventional games look fab on VR, versus the mess that is what's on the Meta store.

Cannot see that working in anyway, I get motion sickness with anything close to true VR. Trying to do fitness whilst wearing one of these headsets is a worse idea than Microsofts Kinect.

Very apt as I have been considering an AVP for a work tool as I need a new monitor array to replace my current 2 additional screen setup … I’m sorely tempted but sinking £3500 feels strong if it’s not going to deliver what I need
