I've had one of those for a couple of years, works fine, no hassle.

Nice one smile

I’ll be using it on Boxing Day for home made chips and cold turkey

I usually refrain from spending during the Black Friday period, but it looks as though it could be an expensive month! I haven't made the purchases yet, but I have the tabs open for an ASUS ProArt 27" monitor, a Canon R7 with 18-150mm lens, and the wife wants a MacBook Air ...

To be honest, the best prices I've seen for the MBA are on Costco. There are lots of "£200 reductions at cart" type deals, including an Air M2/8GB, M2/16GB and M3/8GB. smile

Tried to abstain but bought a Marantz Cinema 30 amp last weekend at 3200 euro, it's currently bak at 4500 euro everywhere so I must've gotten very lucky! Wife doesn't quite see it that way - yet?

For some bargain Macs, sign up as a new customer to Very and get 20% off - astonishing for the latest models really cool

Interesting!

Looks like only the smallest (128GB) unit gets that extra £75 off though….good for those who are entirely in the cloud, I guess biggrin

Why? for most of us a mobile is used for almost everything these days, calls, messages, emails, pictures, used to pay for parking, pay for things, online banking etc etc.

a £500 20 year old Nissan Micra will get you from A to B so whats the point in buying a £50k car for a daily?

Thanks for the tip! I was a little hesitant as to whether the deal would apply to MacBooks, especially as Very forces a 10% off code on you when viewing them, but I can confirm that I've just bought a 2024 MBA with M2/16GB RAM for £685! smile As soon as the finance information populates, I'll be paying it off immediately, because 44%+ APR! Oof.

I also bought the ASUS ProArt monitor, as after refreshing the eBuyer page last night, the price magically reduced by about £25! It was a sign ... hehe

Lenovo M10 tablet > https://amzn.to/3ZrRSNK

46% off at £98. Great little devices, I've got a couple of these mounted as Home Assistant dashboards in the hallway.

Got a Fitbit Versa 4 for the wife for £130 from Amazon, now keeping an eye out to see if I can see a deal on a Sony Xperia 1 Mk6. My MK4 is 2.5 years old now and has battery life that would make an iPhone user blush, but not seeing too much out there.

Amazon have knocked £300 off it but it's still £999, EE are offering it on contract interest free with a pair of XM5s but it's still £55 a month plus.

I got myself a Worx leaf blower with 4ah battery with a Black friday code from their own website. The discount is better than even Amazons prices who seem to have jacked up the RRP to some fake number.

Just checked the Easyjet site and from Bristol from 4-11 December, a return flight to Fuerteventura is £35.

That's 4700 miles for less than a train fare to London.

I paid £100 a month or so ago and thought that was cheap!

Some of the airline deals are amazing, had £6 return to Dublin on Black Friday a couple of years back. Airport parking cost more.

Just bought this TV from Panasonic website for my elderly mother, reduced from a supposed £899 to £499. Was hoping for a further reduction today they have been at £499 for a while at Panasonic and other retailers.

Chose Panasonic store as they offer 10% further discount if you sub to their making list, making it £449 and I had a 15% discount voucher too

Anyone seen any good deals on a 1 or 2TB NVME SSD?

1TB Samsung 970 evo is £65 on amazon now but they have been as low as £43 in the past.
