XP restore points

Hi recently been installing quite a few apps that all tell me they'll create a restore point. Presumably these are building up & taking spacew.. can I get rid of the old ones (and where do I find them?)

system restore space can be altered by going into control panl /system tab and altering the amount of space that system restore can use this will limit how much space is then taken up
