I'm looking for a cordless phone socket.

Sky are getting a bit bolshy because our second sky box isn't connected to a phone line. I hadn't realized it needed to be connected all the time, and the engineer who installed it seemed to indicate that it only needed to be connected temporarily during installation. but to be fair the Ts & Cs do clearly state that both boxes have to be connected to the same phone line. I understand that the sky box has an ordinary analogue modem inside it and it connects straight into a phone socket. This is a bit of a bind because the second sky box is in a room without a phone line, and stringing a phone line across the house isn't an option.

One option I've found is to use one of these phone line extends to relay the phone line over the mains. Seems expensive at £60 though and I'm trying to find out whether I have any cheaper options.

Given that we have DECT cordless phones I wonder if I can get some sort of box that replaces the normal cordless handset and provides a conventional phone socket. I've found a couple of reference to DECT modems, and I've found an advert for an Intel VoIP box that supports DECT handsets and mentions something about a Fax port, but probably megabucks. I'm looking for a cheaper solution, just a DECT cordless modem without the modem if you see what I mean. Ever seen one? Do they even exist?

They do but seem rare these days as dect phones are so cheap

This is the one I found after a bit of googling for "dect phone socket"

Couldn't see an obvious price
