In my experience the battery life claims from phone companies is absolute BS and should really be investigated by one of the many busy body EEC commisions.

I have to say if its that bad then it may be a duff battery. However a few things to try first. 1, fully diascharge the battery. 2, Put on charge for no less than 18 hours and do not touch. 3, make sure things like bluetooth and infra red are turned off. 4, dont ring anyone, touch it or even look at it and you will be surprised how long it will last. 14 days may be a bit much but certainly a week or more is not out of the question.
