Adjusting phone volume with Command

I have recently bought an SLK55 AMG which is great, however I can't get the phone speaker volume loud enough to hear at high speeds. Is there a way to increase the volume? I turn the volume knob on the stereo to max and have done this before and during conversations but it still seems too quiet...
