Has anyone got photos of the 255/295 PS4S tyres fitted?
Just got my Alfa Giulia QV Friday
Are you opposed to getting the 245s for the front? I’ve currently got 245 Corsas on front and 295 PS4S on rear and looks fine to me. Will plan to change the fronts to 245 PS4S when the Corsas are done. Was hoping would be before winter to avoid skippy but COVID has stopped thatJust got my Alfa Giulia QV Friday

To be honest I’ve bit the bullet and ordered the Goodyear Supersports in the correct sizes.Keen to try them after having various cars on Michelin PS4S
After watching some really informative YouTube video's from tyre reviews channel, and also recommendations from owners. I went for the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports for my Giulia Quadrifolio. I've not tried the Michelins so can't compare. I don't think there's much between the 2 makes after watching the reviews.
Initial impressions on 2.4bar front and 2.2 rear
Sidewall seems to be a bit stiffer than the Corsas. Feels a little harder over bumps, drain covers but not annoyingly so. The slight lateral movement from the back end when driving over drain covers is far less harsher than the Corsas. Steering feels a little bit heavier, but personally I don't mind that. Crabbing on lock is non existent now. Grip levels in the rain are phenomenal. You still get some initial slip when giving it some but the tyre quickly bites and the car stays nice and stable, so much more predictable. Personally I feel much more confident with the car in wet weather conditions.
Will need to wait for some dry weather to comment B road capabilities.
Cheapest I could get was £680 from quick fit.

Nice one, I agree with your comments having also switched from Pirelli Corsa to the Goodyear super sports, I haven’t bothered with fitting my winter tyres this year, didn’t feel I needed to, and obviously mileage is down anyway.Initial impressions on 2.4bar front and 2.2 rear

Do you think the Bridgestone a are a bit noisier too? I think maybe they are. Great tyre though, and good value. They also were non plussed by doing a track day, unlike the Pirelli’s which can simply melt!

I've not really noticed if there noisier tbh. I have music on all the time. I also pretty much drive about in Race mode

Also agree there not that bad in the snow. Couple of very low speed manoeuvring moments. On lock it does want to just go straight on.
Chap from tyre reviews said they are less prone to over heating than the Michelin

Will these MPS4 fit 255/35 /19 front
and 295/30/19 rear
the book says to use the standard corsa 245/35 front
and 285/30 rear - Please help!
In short, yes. The rears no problem, FYI the correct sizes have recently become available for the MPS4S but stock may be limited. I run the 295s without issue. Some others have commented that the 255s on the front can rub but others have used them without issue. The 245s have been available for a whileand 295/30/19 rear

thank you - I'm I right reading these Michelin's are better ?
Pirelli Corsas have a narrow operating window (warm and dry) where they are outstanding. The MPS4S and Goodyears (F1 Supersports I think) are much better all round - 90% as good as the Pirelli’s in the warm and dry but night and day difference in cold and wet. You’ll certainly get a lot more miles out of the Michelin’s as well, not sure about the Goodyear’s but probably better as well.rubes78 said:
I'm going to need to change the Corsas soon. Erring toward the F1SS at the moment due to availability and price. From other owners I've spoken to, not much between them and the PS4S, they even seem to stand up to temp better and have a stiffer sidewall?
This will probably explain it best :https://youtu.be/41iQl1wzGD4
I had Goodyears on one, and will be putting them on my next Quadrifoglio for delivery. Never got on with the Corsas.

I ended up putting on a set of AR marked Pirelli Sottozeros back in November. A week later I was driving in settled snow in rural Leicestershire and was so glad I went for proper winters, they've been so confidence inspiring all winter and have allowed me to enjoy the car rather than tip-toeing around.
