Some advice please. My 156 v6 1999 has problem with aircon. It leaks water onto my passenger side matt permanently. I have spent about 3 hours trying to find the overflow pipe which is supposed to go through the firewall, and then to drip the water.
I couldn't find the damn thing - even removed the cubby hole. Had a look into the engine bay and from beneath to no avail. Please advise, as I am tired and embarrased to explain to people why there is a wet towel in my car...

I had a dealer do mine, took about 20-30minutes & they didn't charge me.
Apparently its a swine of a job if the mechanic is average size or above!
But don't know where it actually is.

the drain pipe which you are looking for is hidden behind the sound deading on the bulk. if you feel around on the bulk head below the brake fluid res, at about the height of the diff housing on the gearbox you should be able to find. you will have to pull the sound deading away, then you need to remove the rubber which surrounds the pipe. and this should prevent the drainage water building up and coming into your car.
