Hi,

Has anyone got data on the 3.0l Alfa V6, weight, dimensions, bhp/torque?

Also are there any readily available tuning kits such as heads, cams, throttle bodies etc. or recommended tuners for this engine?

All pure speculation at the moment but it keeps me of the streets thinking about things

Cheers,
Rob

No worries Rob (BlackBug?),

I was looking for the specs page on GTVV6.com, but as has been pointed out, it seems to have been mislaid in the recent revamp of the site!

I seem to remember the 3.0 was around 205-215bhp ish, while the 3.2 went up to 250bhp. AutoDelta can improve on both units output a fair bit though.

No probs, I'm starting to get some info on the engine now. Guess I need to start speaking to suppliers about prices for everything

cheers,
Rob

Have you guys seen the 3.2V6 conversion to 3.7V6 at Autodelta, producing 315bhp?

I have heard rumours of somebody coverting their 3.0 to 3.7 and then adding a turbo.

Seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do if you ask me

Is the 3.2 simply a stroked 3.0? I get that impression because the AutoDelta 3.2->3.7 kit seems to use the same diameter liners as the 3.0->3.5 kit.

Naturally you'd have to have the cams and chip fitted at the same time, who the hell needs money anyway?!!!!

Cheers,
Rob.

That sounds like a rather large jump in capacity. Would there be enough thickness to the engines walls left after such a big rebore to 3.7? Would the engine be weaker to any significant amount?! I'd have thought a 10% increase maximum would be the limit - although I'm no techie.
