That is lovely in Monte Carlo blue. How does the Veloce compare with the QF? I would imagine it’s 90% of the ability ( in the real world) at 70% of the cost. Never driven a Giulia but much, much want on my part

Pretty much exactly as you said. It’s more than fast enough and the low-down torque always surprises.

The QF is the hot but mental g/f - the Veloce is the saner but nearly as attractive girl next door.

I nearly went for gold wheels too - that looks great.

I was tempted by the QF when I bought my Veloce but for the reasons above I thought for everyday use the Veloce was probably the right choice. I've always had a nagging feeling that I should've gone for the full-on madness of the QF so it's good to read that I've probably made a good choice.

I'm also a big fan of those gold wheels with the Montecarlo Blue. I've been toying with the idea of changing my wheels to a paler gold/champagne with the Misano Blue but can't make up my mind. I'll have to see if I can mock up some images on line.

You made the right choice. My QF would have been a daily driver as I’m moving out of walking distance to my office. After giving it some serious thought I knew that it would be overkill and I’d be racking up mileage & costs without being able to have fun on a relatively short and unexciting commute every day.

The Veloce is brilliant - don’t feel cheated smile

That’s good to hear about the Veloce. I have one due for delivery next month - it’s on a ferry ATM. Hope it lands soon.

I couldn’t resist the Alfa red.

I thought I recognised that spot. I stopped in that exact place a couple of years ago :-)

What a great car/road combo.

This turned up on my FB today. A Sunday afternoon run out before Covid. The Alfas form part of my collection, the MGB (an original factory V8) belongs to another PH member.

We have very similar taste in cars - I have a few Lancias to provide some form of balance.

I had part of one of those - namely the back axle with LSD in my 1750gtv,
The donor car was well beyond saving, so didn't feel so bad in having a part of it still live on.
The lower final drive made a noticeable difference in the GTV.

I too think that the Berlinas are underrated . Nice to see an original one in fine fettle.

Is that a Bertone Fiat 850 Spider next to the MGB?
