That’s a lovely 2000…..
Meant to upload these at the time but a rare view under the bonnet of my 4C whilst in for PPF. Now out the garage ready for our 3 days of warm weather

The framing from the wing looks a bit of an after thought and a bit like it’s been knocked up in someone’s shed. I’ve never seen one ‘naked’.Meant to upload these at the time but a rare view under the bonnet of my 4C whilst in for PPF. Now out the garage ready for our 3 days of warm weather

Edited to add - I do really like these and saw one in yellow today and thought ‘wow’ hence why I’ve popped into this section.

Taken in Feb last year but nicely illustrates the situation.
Feb 2024: The Stelvio had just arrived and the 159 was leaving for pastures new.
April 2025: Saturday just gone the Stelvio left for pastures new and the same 159 made has just made a very welcome return. This time for keeps; it's the third time I've bought it and hopefully I've learnt my lesson.

Which versions of the Stelvio and 159 did you have/have you got? It looks like the 159 is not a Sportwagon so wouldn't a Giulia have been the natural choice? What's your multi buy of the same car story Feb 2024: The Stelvio had just arrived and the 159 was leaving for pastures new.

As you asked so nicely - Stelvio Speciale 280bhp but with nearly all the option boxes ticked bar the upgraded audio. It had LSD, leather dash, adaptive cruise control, adaptive selectable shocks, pano roof, lusso pack interior, clear glass - the list was enormous.
159: 3.2 Q4 Qtronic Ti
The 159, bought in March 2017, found completely by chance.
Sold in Feb 2021, bought a Guilia Quadrifoglio. Brilliant, but too much for my tastes & capabilities. Glad I had one though.
Traded that in 2 months later for a Guilia Veloce. Lovely, but still missed the 159.
Our RR L322 started to suffer from a waterleak which messed with the electrics, so that went.
Needed something with a bit more load capacity, so traded the Guilia for a 159 Sportwagon TBi Ti; this very one in fact - https://youtu.be/7au44WnX4w8
Moved to coast, roads are terrible, Sportwagon keeps bottoming out so sold it and bought an old Q5 to potter about in without a care.
June 2023 - I still missed the 159 and had the opportunity to buy it back from the guy I sold it to.
Feb 2024 - Found myself battering around in the Q5 more than the 159, so thought 'Why pay horrendous tax on a car I barely use and get a car that has space like a Q5 but has some Alfa style? So sold both and bought the Stelvio.
April 2025 - STILL missed the 159 and by now we also have a T6 Camper, so figured any lugging of 'stuff' can be done with the van, rather than the Stelvio. So sold that and today I picked up the 159 from the chap I sold it to. My partner's Skoda Yeti is also used as the 'throw anything in it' car.

Even the number plate is telling you to keep it.
That's exactly what my late father-in-law said the day I picked it up. He was right, I should have listened. It's been an expensive route to end up back at square one. In the mix there were a few other highlights (Alfa SZ, mint Peugeot 205 GTI) and lowlights (Delta integrale).W12GT said:

Stop taunting us with your manual!
If you’d ever driven a manual Giulia you wouldn’t be so jealous. The ZF8HP is glorious.

Sure its the same ZF 6speed as in E92 M3 etc, so not the most glorious box but not bad either, IMHO.

I've driven 2 auto's aswell, and still chose this one - its just more fun in general to me (its up to one's taste - its like saying green is a bad color

I'm with you, it would have to be an absolutely appalling manual gearbox (which it isn't) for me not to prefer it to literally any auto in this application - Different strokes for different folks of course.

That looks fantastic and I’ve always loved the 75, especially with the Veloce Body Kit.
I really regret not buying one in the mid 90’s.
Thanks!I really regret not buying one in the mid 90’s.
In case you were wondering WHY it was in the Alfaholics photobooth, we needed a 75 for the thumbnail picture on the website for the 75 part page, this was the end result-
