Advice on Alfas

Oil consumption seems to be all down to how you drive .....
My 2.5V6 166 uses none at all when I'm a sensible middle-aged trog keeping (roughly) to speed limits and using the auto to do its thing without kickdown.
When I'm in hooligan mode (eg returning from Brooklands 2 weeks ago?) and using the sporty shifter, it uses loads of oil. (Fuel too!) But I arrive home with a smile on my face.
Advice: Check the oil every time you fill up with jungle juice - doesn't take long and it's worth it just to look at those chromed inlets!
