Senna movie not on general release but JLS is?
Discussion
Ok so like the TT movie the Senna movie is on limited release in a small handful of places around the country. Meanwhile the JLS documentary is on general release.
Before anyone calls me a total moron I know that cinema bosses will be thinking that the JLS movie will fill there cinema's this weekend with screaming teenagers who will buy sweets and Ice cream where as the Senna movie will attract men on there own.
But surely the viewing for Senna would be pretty good and why aren't we trying to get the young to watch a movie about an inspirational individual who worked hard to become the best at what he did instead of glamorising 4 manufactured pretty boys who will be forgotten in much less then the near 20 years it has been since Senna died.

The Senna movie is supposed to be going on a wider distribution from 21st June. Its getting a lot of free publicity- Sid Watkins and Damon Hill on the Today programme this morning for example, so I think it'll soon be on at a cinema near everyone.
I believe JLS are a young persons singing group....

Sadly, a lot more people will be interested in a film about JLS than about Senna :/
That's my point I'm just upset that more people will want to go see JLS then Senna! It plain wrong! Don't go to the multiscreen & sit with plebs watching this JLS thing!

Is this a new "Senna" film or just a re-release? Only I've had "Senna" on Blu-Ray for about 3 months.
New release. It's only 15 mins long and just features him altering his brake bias at Paul Ricard ....or you may have the Japanese blu ray which was released a while back.Modern pop culture is empty ... what does that say about the people who love it?. Britains's Got Talent, X-Factor (and all their spawn) are very popular, but they will NEVER compare to Senna.
The general public don't have the patience to understand F1 in depth ... they prefer contrived, easy-to-understand rubbish. Reality TV delivers this to the public every day of the fking year

Get over yourself. Senna was a great driver, but he wasn't exactly a perfect human being either. F1 imo can be pretty boring as a spectator sport more to do with strategies, fuel stops and minute aero dynamics rather then exciting racing. I appreciate and admire the cutting edge technology and tiny tolerances they work to, but it doesn't excite me and I rarely bother to watch. The general public don't have the patience to understand F1 in depth ... they prefer contrived, easy-to-understand rubbish. Shows like Britains Got Talent make people happy, I enjoy watching people being given an opportunity to showcase their acts, people and acts I normally wouldn't see. End of the day, life is about enjoying yourself, so kudos to 'contrived, easy to understand rubbish' which delivers on this.
OP, cinemas aren't charities. JLS are massive at the moment and their movie will do well, Senna is a historic driver and his movie will only attract enthusiasts, hence why it isn't so widely shown.

For Midlanders can I recommend the 'All Electric' in Birmingham. I shall be heading down next week with a few other PH's
All Electric is good if you want a new Skoda, for films try The ElectricGassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
