Hi all, looking to get a few bits copper plated for a client who want a steam punk look but so far getting the brush off as its only a relatively small job. Does anyone know a place happy to do little jobs, preferably in the north west?

Cheers guys smile

Most metal electro platers should be able to help you;

Thanks for that. smile

I was under the impression copper was used as a base for chrome but all the places near me said they use nickel now and have got rid of their copper baths confused

Long time since i was sending items for chrome plating, but then it was always electroplating chrome on nickel. There is another process of spun chrome plating, but since i was involved along time ago, i am not certain if this was on nickel or copper.

Just drop the items (assuming they're steel / iron) in a bucket of strong copper sulphate solution.
