DIY French Doors
Discussion
In a nutshell, no, no more technically difficult than replacing a window.
Measure up old frame and order new door set, UPVC or wood.
Remove old doors and frame. Offer up new frame and pack top and bottom to hold in place and then when all nice and square (close doors to check
), use frame fixings to hold in place.
Main thing you need is a big drill for the frame fixings and a couple of decent drill bits.

damn, clicked in thinking you were making some
hardest part is sealing them neatly afterwards, so no, not that hard, if the frame sits within the cavity, cut some wooden blocks and insert in cavity but not tight so they can slide in & out easily, get the two sides parallel and screw frame to blocks, now you can play with the square of the frame whilst your fixafoam sets, you can hang your doors in there and use wedges between doors and frame to get it exact, a bag of window fitters wedges are ideal as they're mm accurate, you can get a big bag of them at screwfix for peanuts.
