The only disappointment I have experienced with my 993 is the pedal spacing. However hard I try I cannot "heel and toe" and since this is something I am used to doing I am finding it is seriously impeding the fluency of my driving. Can anybody recommend a pedal kit that will allow me to blip the throttle whilst braking? I would like something good value and good quality.

Depends on shoe size maybe Polar?
Mine has the Techart pedal set which was installed by the previous owner. I find it great for heeling and toeing. Though if you wear leather soled footwear frequently when driving the metal pedals are slippery when wet (whoa we're half way there
), and not that great when your shoes are dry.

If you're having trouble with heel and toeing, it may be worth looking at adjusting your existing pedal set-up before you go buying anything.
Have a look at your pedals and you should see the means of adjustment.
I can't remember if the basic manual that comes with the car explains how to do it.

Left hand or right hand drive? RH spacing is wider than LH and off set.....
Try gluing another pedal rubber on top of the accelerator and attaching Sparco metal brake pedal to the middle pedal.
BTW, the original metal under the rubbers is EXTREMELY hard -expect to get through a couple of toughened drill bits!!

My car is a RHD. Polar993 why is it different to yours? (It's even the same colour!).
The lateral spacing between brake and accelerator is fine, it's just that when you are leaning on the brakes the accelerator is too far down to let you reach it. Ideally the accelerator pedal needs to come up. Perhaps I will need to stick something to the accelerator pedal as suggested. I'll get my head in the footwell and have a look to see what adjustment is available. Too cold to do it right now.
The Vosstek pedals look good.

Don't want to sound like a bore, but what technique are you using? I used to roll my foot which is great under light braking but tricky under heavy braking. I now been taught to use the heel of my foot to blip the base of the accelerator. This works great on the track and allows you to keep a more constant pressure on the brakes. (his words, not mine!) true though

I roll my foot. ie I push the brake pedal with the ball of my foot and blip the throttle with the outside edge of the same foot. The method you describe sounds like you need to be double jointed. I'll give it a try though.

You're doing exactly what I was doing. The problem is that with our original technique, is it's very hard to maintain a high pressure on the brake as I tended to release it very slightly as I rolled onto the accelerator.
The alternative technique can really only be done on the track when you're braking hard, but give it a go. Seems weird at first but Anthonny does seem to know his stuff! In fact he improved my braking simply by pointing out that i was taking too long going from the accelerator to the brake pedal!
