Chimaera Clubman - £32k!
Discussion
2 years ago, I started a thread about a grey (in colour and import status) Chimaera that was at Historics:

it went through twice in March and July 2019 but with a guide of £17- £20k, it only reached £11,500. It shows as 'sold' because that was the hammer price plus fees, but it didn't:

Well, they did the right thing hanging onto it....
I had my eye on it because it had failed the MoT test on 23rd June prior to going through the auction today on washers, lamps and all 4 tyres, not an expensive fix. They put it right, which added thousands to the sale price, damn them, with a clean pass on 6th July, only 6000 km on the clock. Presuming they didn't fit part-worns (?), the lower dash section now has ALL the veneer taken off and if you watch the video, you'll see badly faded carpets on the outer section below the door sill on the passenger side. I thought to myself, £14k + fees(?) and that was the opening bid. But then a hall bidder and an internet bidder got going. It only takes 2 to really want a car. £29k was the hammer price - £32,480 with fees.

And then you have to pay an uplift cost unless you collect it in person before Monday lunch time. So, well over £32,600 all in. Destined as a garage queen or trailered to shows I presume. It reached £11,500 in July 2019, £29k today!!!

Hard to work out why but there you are.
Spitfire4 was right then. The value in this car is its low mileage and unmolested condition.
A show piece. Start driving that around and watch the value drop as quick as the mileage goes north.
It’s great to see someone values it so highly though.
Basically your buying a new Tvr,,, not very reliable, then add 25 years stood like a statue.
