Prices confirmed for new Alfa Quadrifoglios

Latest Giulia and Stelvio get power bump to 520hp and a new look - they're on sale from Monday

Don’t worry if you missed the anniversary editions of the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglios -  the new standard spec mirrors them very closely. As a quick reminder, the important news is a new mechanical limited slip diff - derived from that used in the Giulia GTA, no less - to better marshal 520hp. There’s a new look for both, too, including the ‘3+3’ headlights outside (with Matrix LEDs) and a redesigned instrument panel for the interior. You’ll just have to go without the special badges.

Now we know what the revised V6 models - potentially the final petrol Quadrifoglios, given Alfa’s grand EV plans - will cost in the UK. For the Giulia, the important number is £78,195 on the road; an M3 Competition is from £81,195. Without UK prices for the new C63 yet, that feels like the most obvious match up. An Audi RS5 Sportback is from £74,670 OTR (and up to £90k as a Vorsprung), but it’s really not in the same league as the other two as a driving experience.

Tellingly, there are many more alternatives for the £87,195 Stelvio. Its most natural (and equally excellent) rival is the Jaguar F-Pace SVR, priced from £85,180. If ever there were two cars to convince the detractors of just how good a fast SUV can be, those two are it. But there’s plenty more than just the Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio available in the £90k super SUV space: an X3 M is from £92,320 and the Audi SQ8 is £94,895, while both AMG GLC 63 S (in mega super duper Night Edition Premium Plus spec) and the Grecale Trofeo are around £100,000. Don’t be surprised if the Stelvio remains one of the category’s best, however - it really is a great driving SUV.

The new Alfas officially go on sale from Monday, July 3rd, with deliveries expected in the final quarter of 2024. And if you’re thinking it feels like just the time to pick up a secondhand Giulia or Stelvio for half the new price, you’re in the right place. This super subtle silver Giulia is comfortably less than £40k with just 32,000 miles, and a smart Stelvio can be had for a little more than £40,000. The 2020 facelift models, identifiable by the smoked rear lights and larger infotainment screens, remain around the £50k mark - see this Giulia and this Stelvio as examples.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio is still a fabulous looking car, still fresh after almost 10 years since first seen.

....but I don't like the new front lights.

Why is the instrument binnacle still set up for two dials, with the rev counter smack bang in the middle?

Amazed that Alfa still bother with RHD (0.08% market share in May 2023)

Agreed! Those DRL's just look like strung up fairy lights imo!

So would like one... but in my view the dealer network is going for a race to the bottom....

Filled out the form for the Anniversario Edition....when it was announced and would have been more surprised if Alfa had been in touch, but as expected, nothing.

All this from an Alfa lover who should be the easiest person to sell to.

Order next week but delivery in the final quarter of 2024?
That’s a shame as it means because it’s after 7 July 2024 it will have to be fitted with an ISA system, unless that’s been dropped now, which sadly means it’s a big fat no.

The dealer network has been an issue ever since the days when the 156 could have been a serious rival for the BMW 3 series but the dealers threw it away by acting so disinterested that you had to really want one to buy one, and when you finally got one the aftersales was so shoddy many owners gave up on the brand at that point. Notable exception was Mangoletsi but the others were shameful.

From my experience, mangoletsi were one of the offenders sadly. Other people of course may have had different experiences (not including everyone I know).

Mangos have a reputation amongst Alfisti, but it’s not a good one!

Dealers still seem to be dropping the brand, it’s such a shame and has been commented already it’s surprising they remain committed to the UK.

I wonder if these ones will still have the security flaw that lets thieves nick them in less than a minute?

I really don’t like SUV’s………except this one.

I could probably live with a Giulia 50% of the time, rather than an estate. Hmmm………..

It's a design motif from the SZ. Always thought the Hyundai Ioniq had more than a touch of the SZ from the front too.

Wouldn’t deal with them again ,everything about them was half arsed…that’s after you’ve paid for it of course…

I feel they have priced themselves out of the market on the Gulia. Can’t speak about the SUV it’s not my thing. Dealer network is a shambles, can’t take them seriously, now the cars are a similar price it’s pretty much finished.
