Going to local pubs with mates.

£5 - £6 a pint makes this occasion a little less frequent.
Maybe I'm living in the past but doesn't seem that long ago I was getting the same beer for £3-£4

Driving. frown

Don't get me wrong, I can still go out for an aimless drive for fun but driving in and around London /South East has just become a pain.
Too much traffic, aggression on the road, no manners, speed cameras, speed-bumps and stupid people.

Football. I used to be a supporter of a certain team. Now I don’t even look at the scores.

TV, really annoying as I have a brilliant TV and surround sound system, literally every Sky TV channel and every streaming service but 30 seconds in to anything I find myself picking up my phone or wandering off around the house.

Home mechanics. I still do it but it feels more of a faff now. Plus I used to be a bit more gung ho about just doing a job, whereas now I'm more concerned about breaking something/making mistakes. It's probably down to having less free time than before.

Chasing attractive women many who are either gold diggers or complete nutjobs.

I prefer to let them approach me and make the first move nowadays.

Crossfit/going to the gym.

5-6 times a week, to walking the dogs and lifting the shopping out the car now and again.

I did that, stopped for 10 yrs due to job loss etc and only restarted about 4 yrs ago. Regret the missing yrs and am loving the game these days.

Rallying.

I think the rot set in when Loeb could turn up to the start line in an iron lung and still win.

Stuff. Just lost interest in material goods. Experiences is what I care about now. I'd rather have a meal out with the wife or go to football with my sons than buy some gadget.

Cars and driving. Not bothered anymore. Turning 60 and getting my TFL o/60s pass was the nail in the coffin. Go everywhere by tube, overground and bus. Or I cycle. Wife uses the car and when we go out together she drives because she's driving it every day so just automatically goes for the drivers door. Which is fine by me, I just relax and watch the world go by. I drive maybe once a week at most.

I'm happier now than at any point in my life so far.

Football. Ruined by the money imo. Will have it on in the background while I'm doing something else but not really bothered actually watching it anymore.

Paying stupid money £££ for very average restaurant food and drinks.

Far better spending time and effort cooking proper quality food at home/with friends tbh.

Yep still good to go out but far less appealing now as so many increasingly now taking the piss with prices no wonder many places are dying on their feet.

Washing cars. Used to enjoy getting the buckets out and spending hours with a polishing cloth. Now it's an Albanian pit stop once in a blue moon.

Online poker. For 15 years or so I was playing several times a week, across multiple sites. With the advent of bot farms, real time assistance tools and the relentless increase in the skill level required I've joined the grumpy old men cohort who only play live now and grumble about online.
