Toilet seat plugs/fittings?
Discussion
The plugs that help secure my toilet seat to the pan have decided to destroy themselves, It's a Vitra 'D shaped' back to wall toilet and the plugs have fallen down their holes into the pit of oblivion below, never to be seen again, so I need to order more.

As I cant see what the plugs look like, would a generic kit such as this suffice?

Top right or bottom left looks like they might work - based on your description it sounds like a "top mount" where you screw the seat fittings in from the top because you have no access from below
I agree.Any (most) top mount fittings will work as it's just the equivalent of a wall plug to screw a screw into to secure the seat fixing.

Correct, access only from the top, which is a pain as the water supply pipe to the filler isn't accessible either without pulling the toilet away from the wall.Any (most) top mount fittings will work as it's just the equivalent of a wall plug to screw a screw into to secure the seat fixing.
Thanks, I'll get the kit ordered as a new Vitra seat is around £80!!
Fittings arrived, sadly they don't work, they seem too thin and just spin when tightening the screws. I
noticed part of the toilet seat is damaged so I've ordered a new one - £89 from Amazon!!! due to it being a non standard shape. Next toilet I buy will be a standard generic shape with open back to access fittings. Lesson learnt
