How about the gun from Dune, the one which the user had to say some weird words, sounded like they said "Mooooadeeb" or something on that note.
Because it is a crap weapon. I'm not sure which one of the film's two directors was touching the brown acid and came up with the wierding module.

I rate:

Zorg ZF1 - The 5th Element
Sex Machine's Codpiece - From dusk till dawn
The One Ring - Lord of the rings - Never used but cool nonetheless
Shadow warship - Babylon 5

Jesse Ventura's minigun in Predator

Bunch of slack-jawed faggots around here. This stuff will make you a god damned sexual Tyrannosaurus, just like me.
That minigun was actually a real weapon.
From a helicopter gunship! IIRC, they had to run around with a battery/generator when filming, didnt they?
........ and a truck load of ammo.

This is an A-Gun from a B-movie :

Believe it or not, this is a real production model weapon!
Burt used the "Grizzly Big Boar" 50 caliber BMG.
This weapon is custom made to fire the 50 caliber BMG (Browning Machine Gun) shell
which was originally used in World War I as an Anti-Tank cartridge.
The 50 caliber BMG shell is still used by the US military today
but it is being fired from a tripod mounted machine gun.
There is apparently an ever growing market for this type of weapon
although I have no idea what sport (other than graboid hunting)
would require this kind of weapon.
The cost of these 50 caliber shells are around $2.12 each.
This gun was purchased by Tremors 2: Aftershocks Producer Nancy Roberts for a reported $3,000
and later presented to Tremors 2: Aftershocks Director S.S. Wilson as a present.
Also note all the items in the back of Burt's truck.
Thermite, C4, TNT, 90mm cannon shell, hand grenades, cans of blasting powder and MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat).

I always liked rthe PPG's from Babylon 5. Pretty weak, but I loved the distortion effect.

And the trusty Omega Class destroyer:

And I guess Talyn, from Farscape, too:

Though it was never as cool as a drednaught or battlecruiser.

It's an armour piercing sub machine gun - hence the PDW designation.
The SS190 round certainly has armour-piercing capabilities, but not the range to replace an assault rifle.
Most P90's are bought instead of MP5's. Usually for Airport security, Security, SWAT and Special Forces applications. As such they replace MP5's SMG's and M4 carbine's. It does not have the penetration of the 5.56mm at range but at shorter ranges they are as effective and unlike the 9mm cartridge do penetrate body Armour at these ranges. As such it was never designed as an Assault weapon but is mainly bought as one.

I don't know the guns, and frankly I think the coolness comes from the context and the incongruity, but;
