IT vacancy in Bristol.
Discussion
We have a full time vacancy for an Assistant Systems Administrator at our Head Office in Bristol. The current incumbent is going to work part time from April, having project managed the implementation and roll out of the LAN, WAN and branch IT network over the past five years. The wording of the advert that will appear elsewhere is below. I would be happy to hear from any interested and suitably experienced PHers.
Following a review of resources within our small IT team, a vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Systems Administrator.
The role will involve assisting with various day to day IT support and maintenance tasks including daily system checks, user support on software application issues, diagnosing and resolving network and hardware problems and data administration in our key business systems.
A good level of general IT skills is essential. Some knowledge of Windows software applications, operating systems, PC and printer maintenance, network operations would be an advantage.
The ability to work confidently and effectively while unsupervised, to adapt to changing priorities and to maintain close, professional yet friendly relationships with users and key suppliers will be extremely important. There may be a requirement for occasional out of hours work.
