So I have a Netgear router for WiFi connected to a Zyxel modem.
Which one should be the dhcp server?
If I make the router server it's great as I can fix IP addresses for my NAS and wireless printer which simplifies setting dependencies for other bits of my network.
However, the router then can't find the DNS through the modem.
If I make the modem server then it sets random IP addresses for all the other computers, printer and NAS but DNS works fine.
I presume I'm missing a simple setting somewhere that will let the router find the DNS via the modem?
Ta.
