As a young kid, I used to make toy guns out of bits of wood, used to play army (pongo as I now call it ), and used to pretend I was a soldier. From a young age I always wanted to join up, is that indoctrination?
I don't think this is a million miles away from what I used to do as a 5 yr old.
Suicide bombing is one of their weapons against their targets.
It's seems wrong to us, but what are your views on seeing a 5 yr old boy in a shopping centre pointing a toy pistol at people and going bang?
Is that kid going practicing for a shopping mall masacre?

it's not that they are playing wargames, rather the notion that suicide is an admirable way to off yourself.I don't think this is a million miles away from what I used to do as a 5 yr old.

How do you reason with people who have such little value for human life and believe that doing something like this sees them off to a better place.
Very, very sad. They're depriving familes of kids, and when they grow up, families of fathers, not to mention the victims.

These countries don't have weapons like the west, their arsnel is pretty ste compared to ours.except for one thing, their belief and motivation exceeds our in a big way. Suicide bombing is a very effective yet desperate weapon to a poor 'army'.

I have nephews that do it and I think its wrong, but it seems I'm in the minority. I also think glorifying war with computer games is wrong, but based on the success of the games, it seems I'm in the minortiy with that too.
Meh...give them a football, a field to play in and a tree to climb and let them get on with playing.

If we can't control it happening in our own back yard then what chance is there of stopping it so far away?http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-1283...

Though oddly in this case, the religion that they profess to kill in the name of regards suicide as one of the greatest sins. That and killing non-comabatants.except for one thing, their belief and motivation exceeds our in a big way. Suicide bombing is a very effective yet desperate weapon to a poor 'army'.

I agree with you apart from the games war games are great but should be 16 +. Violent games need to be massivly tightened up regarding age verification. Same as violent TV.I have nephews that do it and I think its wrong, but it seems I'm in the minority. But it needs to start with the parents...so there is no fricken chance is there?

Yep. That rationale shows that they are very misguided if they think they are doing it in the name of religion. Politics and power more like.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
