Regular maintenance

I'm a franchisee for a well known dairy company with a large range of vehicles from arctics down to Ducato's.

I drive a Ducato supplied and 'maintained' by the company, only it isn't.

A while back the vehicles used to be taken into the garage and checked every 3 months but since a recent take over regular maintenance has stopped.

This basically means they are driven till they need repaired e.g brake pads get replaced when you hear them grinding metal to metal and phone up to report them. It was taken away to get knocking suspension fixed and it lasted 2 days when it came back before a bottom ball joint fell off.

I understand HGV's have to have a maintenance schedule but doesn't this apply to smaller vehicles if they are part of the same fleet?
