County court claim

In August 2016 my sister had a very minor collision with another car in a supermarket car park. Her car is a blue Fiat Panda with a number plate in the style of AB 12 ABC. Both cars were reversing and there was more damage to the other car as it was a large four wheel drive which did not stop sliding down her bumper until I got out of the car and shouted at its driver.
At the time of the incident the other driver said that she would discuss it with her husband but we heard nothing further and assumed, especially as her car was already dented, that she was not pursuing it.
In February this year we had contact from our insurer to say that a claim had been made against my mother's car, a blue Renault Capture with a number plate in the style of A 5 ABC. We told the insurance company that my sister had never driven the Captur and was not even insured on it. The company therefore rejected the claim.
My sister has now received a claim through moneyclaimonline to be heard at the county court in Lewes.
Brief details of claim state: damages arising from a road traffic accident on the 20th. August 2016
When it goes to particulars of claim it states .... the Defendant was driver of vehicle registration A 5 ABC .....
It then states that ..... the Defendant driving vehicle registration A 5 ABC reversed from a parking bay .......
Does the fact that she has the wrong registration plate have any bearing on the court action?
