I fear that there's not much that I can do, but just in case someone with the relevant knowledge can advise me.

Transport for London has installed a pedestrian crossing close to my house. Apparently there was a consultation, but I never saw a letter. Nor did my neighbour, but I'm sure it wouldn't have made a difference.

Anyway, the beeping is really intrusive in my house. I've spoken with TFL who've said that they've turned it down to its minimum level but that's still enough to come straight through my double glazing and into my house. I'm still in contact with TFL, but am getting the impression that they don't want to take any more action.

I've tried searching online for examples of how residents have persuaded the authorities to help them elsewhere, and in the past, but have come up with nothing.

If anyone here has any specific knowledge on how to persuade them to help I'd be very grateful to them indeed. Many thanks in advance.

They can switch the sound off. Plenty of them are silent in residential areas.

Talk to your local councillor. They can help and represent you in such matters.
Thanks. Good to know that there are silent ones in residential areas.

Was talking to TFL again this morning. Rang the council after. Due a call back tomorrow, and will take things from there.
