Hi there

Does anybody have any statistics/information for the TVR Typhon, in particular "T14 HON" that I saw at Goodwod recently please?

I've done a lot of hunting and I've found information ranging from 4000 cc non-s/c to 4200 cc s/c models. I've heard that only 4 were produced, of which only 2 are currently road legal. Are they s/c models? Were they all? Did each have a different engine spec?! confused

Any help and clarification is greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance. thumbup

V8 GRF: you wouldn't happen to recall their original prices would you please? I have £75k, £80k and £85k in my mind for the three different options (4.0, 4.2, 4.2 s/c). Thanks. Also, any power/torque/performance stats for the 4.0? Most places quote for the proposed s/c mode @215 mph, 585 bhp etc.

Brilliant. Thank you! It appears that a favourable percentage of the cars will be at this Caring with cars on the 9th July. bounce

Fantastic stuff. It's amazing how such a small number of cars can have such a convoluted history!

Aha! I was about to point you to this thread but you're already here! hehe Great spot by the way. I've nearly seen the lot now! Just 'old red' to go now.

Well you'll never see 'old red' as it was as it's now the non running De Walt car.

The original TuscanR prototype is missing from that list as well and that car no longer exists.
Is that the De Walt car in the Heritage Motor Centre?

No that's a genuine racecar in Gaydon, owned by John Hartshorne.
Damn. But only as I have to keep searching for #4!

I recently rifled through some old Goodwood photos from 2003 and I think that I may have actually seen it! I'll have a hunt around this weekend and see if I can find it again. smile

I remember feeling a little sad when the production lights were revealed. I wonder if they could be retrofitted?

Did they sell off all of their old moulds in the end? I guess the quickest way would be to form a new rear panel (assuming that it would fit the existing mounting points).

If anybody's interested I have an album of all my Typhon spots here and the T400R at Gaydon here.
