would you buy a cat D Exige

Looking at buying a new toy to use as abit of a track car.
I've seen a Exige S but it's a cat d due to clam damage and has been fully repaired
The price is about 5k cheaper then a non cat d with the same sort of spec
Is it worth paying the extra for a non cat d as is likely to hold its money better
But as it's gonna be used on track is there no point and get the cat d
