Trekking backpack

I need a lightweight backpack which has a rigid back and a waist belt that sits at hip level. Ideally I'd like one that'll take a hydration pack as well. I don't need anything more than about 30l as it's only going to be used as a day sack.

I have a very old shoulder injury which means I need to carry the weight on the hips/lower back. All the lightweight ones I've found in the shops so far sit far too high up, just below the bottom of the rib cage - and I'm a short arse. Or they are huge 50+ litre jobbies.

I'm finding the selection available online quite bewildering and of course you can't really see them properly. Does anyone have any recommendations please?
